Dear Navigators, Social Workers, Administrators, and Clinical Staff,
I am excited to report that the profession of navigation is on the march and gaining momentum! Navigation programs are being established in large hospitals, academic centers, and community clinics. Centers are recognizing the value and effectiveness of navigation tactics as the most efficient way to remove barriers to care; as a result, the realm of oncology navigation just keeps expanding to include psychosocial issues, patient education, financial considerations, clinical management of patients, and so much more. It’s no wonder our organization is growing!
As we grow, it is central to the mission of the AONN+ Leadership Council to provide the best possible programming for all our members. To this end, I strongly encourage you to engage with us via the AONN+ Annual Membership Survey.
We are all ears, ready to listen to each member to better understand who we are as an organization, what is working for you, and where we may need improvement.
