Dear Navigators, Social Workers, Administrators, and Clinical Staff,

All day, every day, nurses make all the difference in delivering high-quality care to those who need it the most. On behalf of all of us at AONN+, I want to recognize the nurses in our community for their invaluable contributions to healthcare.

As part of National Nurses Month, nurses are encouraged to focus their attention to these 4 areas:

Self-care

As navigators, we all know how important this is. Our profession is selfless in nature, so taking the time to rest and replenish is vital to our personal well-being. Please take some time for yourself this month.

Recognition

I encourage all navigators in our community to honor the work of nurses. Give your praise to a nurse—your words will make their day.

Professional Development

Here’s where AONN+ comes in! We have multiple opportunities for nurses and navigators alike to advance in their professions. From committee involvement to our webinars, from our podcasts to our conferences, there are multiple ways you can invest in your career with AONN+.

Community Engagement

AONN+ is a huge proponent of community engagement. In fact, we have a Policy and Advocacy Committee that would love to welcome you aboard! However you engage with your community, educating people about who you are and what you do by the bedside and beyond is a great way to raise awareness of the impact nurses make.

To all the nurses in our navigation community, here’s to you and all you do to improve the lives of patients. Happy National Nurses Month!

Sincerely,

Lillie Digital Signature
