AONN+ Committees

The AONN+ Survivorship Committee strives to make survivorship meaningful.

If we surveyed nurse and patient navigators around the country and asked them if one of their primary job responsibilities includes policy advocacy, it is unlikely that question would be met with a resounding “yes.” Yet, every person engaged in oncology navigation is also engaged in patient and policy advocacy each and every day.

With the expansion of technology into every aspect of healthcare, the Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators (AONN+) Technology & Innovation (T&I) Committee focuses on using technology to support and facilitate patient navigation in 3 ways.

Impactful research can be conducted by everyone, and the AQUIRE (Assistance for Quality Improvement and Research) Committee is here to help. The mission of AQUIRE is to provide mentorship support to members of the Academy of Oncology & Patient Navigators (AONN+) in areas of quality, process improvements, metrics, and reporting. We want everyone to feel empowered and equipped to take on important projects in their work settings and believe that learning to create successful projects is an integral part of professional development.
This is your year to conduct research and share your findings. AONN+ and the AQUIRE committee can help you to reach this goal.
